Please join us for a lunch talk on November 29 titled "Harnessing Biobanks for Advancements in Genetic Epidemiological Research" by Dr. Chia-Yen Chen. 

Dr. Chen is an alumnus of the NTU Institute of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine advised by Dr. Chien-Jen Chen and holds a doctorate in epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health. He is now an Associate Director in Genomic Medicine at Biogen Inc., based in Boston, USA. Dr. Chen is a very experienced genetic epidemiologist and statistical geneticist working to leverage biobank-scale genomic datasets, combined with longitudinal EHR, to inform drug development, especially for neuropsychiatric traits like depression and cognition. In this talk, he will also share with us his career experience of shifting from academia to industry. Please come with questions as I'm sure he'd be happy to answer them!
